Due to the speed of the Aare, the offer is primarily aimed at people with some experience with stand up paddleboards or similar equipment (surfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding etc.).
Children from 10 years can use the paddleboards when accompanied by an adult, each on their own board. There must be at least 1 adult per child in the group.

- Clothing adapted to the weather
- Waterproof packaging for electronic devices and the like (the waterproofness of the provided drybags is not guaranteed!)
- The Drybags do not provide space for bulky items so pack light

- Do not smoke on the paddleboards

Starting point
Location
The Stand Up Paddleboards will be delivered at the Aare riverside in Rubigen below the Hunziken bridge (river direction right).
Public transport
From Rubigen railway station 4 minutes bus ride with BernMobil line 160 to Rubigen, Hunzigenbrügg stop or 30 minutes walk.
From Belp railway station 7 minutes bus ride with BernMobil line 160 to Rubigen, Hunzigenbrügg stop.
Arrival by car
Motorway A6 to Rubigen exit (exit 14). Public parking is available on the opposite side of the Hunziken bridge.
Please do not use the parking spaces reserved for the restaurant.

Location
Parking place camping Eichholz. About 10 minutes after the ferry Bodenacker on the left side of the river.
Return journey by public transport
10 minutes walk to the tram stop Wabern, Eichholz with regular connection to Bern railway station.
Alternative: 25 minutes walk along the Aare to Bern railway station.

General terms and conditions
Payment
The payment of the rent takes place in cash on site - unfortunately we have no possibility for card payment. For groups payment by invoice can be arranged. The invoice will be issued against a fee of CHF 15.00.
Rental location
The rental place is: Rubigen, below the Hunzigen Bridge. In Oberhofen is only our office address.
Parking
There is limited parking available in the vicinity of the rental location and we do not offer any. We recommend travelling by public transport.
Cancellation
The rental of the equipment is obligatory. In the event of cancellation or rebooking, a handling fee of CHF 20.00 per board will be charged. Cancellations 24 hours before the rental date or later will be charged at full price. Cancellations must be made in writing by e-mail.
Water level
From a water level of 250 m3/sec, we will let you decide whether you want to pay the rent or not. In this case we advise groups with small children against the trip. From a water level of 265 m3/sec we stop the SUP rental. Please inform yourself on our website about the water level before you go to Rubigen and contact us in case of doubt.
Rental conditions
The renter is hereby expressly informed that the use of the sports equipment rented by Aarebootsvermietung, in particular Stand Up Paddling Boards, is at the renter's own risk. Aareboat rental expressly disclaims any liability for the use of these. Furthermore, the renter is responsible for all consequential damages personal or third party resulting from the use of the equipment. The renter is liable for all damages or loss of the equipment in its entirety, as well as for any replacement and repair costs, as well as loss of revenue. The renter is responsible for adequate insurance coverage. The place of jurisdiction shall be Thun, Switzerland.
If the material is not collected at the agreed time, we reserve the right to rent it out after 1 hour. If you arrive later than half an hour after the agreed delivery time, we reserve the right to charge an additional CHF 30.00 per hour or part thereof.
All rental equipment must be returned to Eichholz in Bern by 6 p.m. on the rental day at the latest. We charge a surcharge of CHF 50.00 per board for every started hour that the rental equipment is returned too late. For boards which miss the watering point (Eichholz Camping) and have to be picked up by us at another place, the effective salvage costs (min. CHF 50.00) will be charged.
